When and where can I pay a citation?

Fines can be paid up to two weeks after your court date and not before. In order to know what the fine is contact the City Hall at (731) 968-6657 or visit at 33 First Street; in addition it can be mailed to P.O. Box 1699, Lexington, TN 38351.

What do I do if my license has been canceled, suspended or revoked?

It’s easy; Visit the TN Department of Safety & Homeland Security. They have outlined everything in detail.

I have a head light out and received a citation….. can I come to the Police Station to show that I got it fixed?

Yes. Simply come to 88 First Street, between the hours of 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Monday through Friday. Ensure that you have the copy of your citation and proof that the light has been repaired.

What is the minimum liability insurance needed to operate a motor vehicle?

The Tennessee Code Annotated (TCA) 55-12-102(12) references minimum limits of liability for the state of Tennessee which currently are: •$25,000.00 for one injury or death •$50,000.00 for all injuries or deaths •$15,000.00 for property damage for one accident
