In 2007, Mayor Griggs was selected by the Beech River Watershed Development Authority as the maintenance supervisor and was quickly promoted as the Executive Secretary. During this time, he was elected to serve on the Lexington, TN City Council where he served as City Alderman for three terms from 2009-2017. During his tenure, he served with the Budget Committee, Economic Development Committee, Lexington Electric Board, Police Committee, Fire Committee, Joint Economic Development Board, and Planning Commission. He was elected to serve as the City of Lexington’s Vice Mayor from 2011-2017. This past year, Mayor Griggs was elected by the people of Lexington, TN to serve as their Mayor.
Former Tennessee Governor Phil Bredesen (D) appointed Mayor Griggs to serve as District 7 Commissioner for the Tennessee Wildlife Resource Commission from 2009-2012. After his term, he was then re-appointed by Governor Bill Haslam (R) to the Tennessee Fish & Wildlife Commission. During his tenure, he served as Chairman of the Commission from 2014-2015. In 2017, he was appointed to the Asian Carp Task Force by Tennessee Speaker of the House Beth Harwell.
During the past 40 years, Mayor Griggs has served on various local boards/committees to include: Lexington Rotary President (1997-1998), Weststar Leadership Alumni Board, State of TN OHV Advisory Committee, Lexington/Henderson County Joint Economic and Community Development Board, Henderson County Chamber of Commerce Board, and Tourism Association of Southwest TN. In addition, he currently serves on the Henderson County Community Hospital Board, Henderson County Sports Hall of Fame Board, and Woodland Home’s Board.
Mayor Griggs has received several awards over the past 40 years which include the C.P. Boyd Award for Leadership (Weststar Leadership Program at the University of Tennessee at Martin, TN) 2004, Rotarian of the Year (Lexington, TN Rotary Club) 2001, and the Paul Harris Fellow (Rotary International) 1992.
Mayor Griggs and his wife Paige have two daughters, Mandy Melton and Misty Sharp and one son, Dallas; three grandsons, River, Canyon, and Sam and a granddaughter, Toni.

Alderman Loftin was born and raised in Lexington, TN. He graduated from Lexington High School.
Alderman Loftin worked as a police officer at Lexington Police Department for naerly 40 years, with 32 years acting as Chief of Police. Alderman Loftin serves on the Henderson County Carl Perkins Prevention of Child Abuse Center Board, was actively involved with Lexington Little League for over 40 years, and is a member of First Baptist Church
Alderman Loftin and his wife, Redonna, have 6 children and 15 grandchildren.

Alderman Rhodes was born in Lexington TN and has spent all of his life here with the exception of 10 years during childhood. He graduated from Union City High School and returned home the following year.
He served 5 years on the Carl Perkins Prevention of Child Abuse Center board and has been a small business owner since 2000.
He serves as Chairman of the Lexington Gas System Board, Chairman of the Tourism Committee, and serves on the Police Department, Fire Department and Airport committees.
Alderman Rhodes and his wife Mary Ann have been married since 1986. They are the parents of two children and 3 grandchildren.

Alderman Wood is a lifelong resident of Lexington, Henderson County. She is a 1983 graduate of Lexington High School and attended Jackson State Community College. Alderman Wood is an 18 year Administrative Assistant with the Tennessee Department of Agriculture where she was selected as 2009 Forestry Employee of the Year.
Involved in community service, Alderman Wood is an active member of the Altruistic Club, having served as President, and currently serving as Vice-President. She is involved in many areas of community service, and is a member of the Henderson County Benefit Committee. She decided to expand her service to the community by seeking the office of Alderman, and was elected to serve in September 2009. Re-elected in 2011, she currently serves as Chairman for the Civic Center/Museum Committee and is a member of the Recycling and Tourism Committees. Alderman Wood is the former Chairman of the Fire Committee and past member of the Police Committee.
Alderman Wood and her husband Jeff have one son, Brandon.

Alderman Ellis was born in Lexington, TN and has spent his life here with the exception of 7 years when he served in the U.S. Air Force. He is a graduate of Lexington High School, Jackson State Community College, and Bethel University. While in the U.S. Air Force, he worked overseas as a civillian contractor for the U.S. State Department. He has 25+ years experience in the Medical Technology field and currently serves as a Senior Sales Representative for Boston Scientific.
Alderman Ellis is serving his first term as an Alderman after being elected in 2021. He has served on numerous boards for the past year including Lexington Electric System, Lexington Housing Authority, Henderson County Chamber of Commerce and currently serves on the Planning and Zoning Board.
Alderman Ellis is married to Marcella Mackey Ellis and has two sons, Brandon and Zachary "Bryce" Ellis.

Alderman White was born and raised in Scotts Hill, TN. He is a graduate of Scotts Hill High School and attended Freed-Hardeman University on a basketball scholarship. He joined the U.S. Marine Corps and served in the Viertnam War. He was awarded a purple heart for his service.
Alderman White has spend his career in automobile retail sales with the last thirty years being in management. He has been a F & I Manager, General Sales Manager, and General Manager and worked with Nissan, VW, Volvo, Acura, and Honda.
Alderman White is serving first term as an Alderman after being elected in 2021. He is a lifetime member of the VFW and commander of Post 1294 Lexington. He is a member of the American Legion. He has been the Henderson County Veterans Officer since 2018

Alderman Wildridge is in his first term on the Board of Aldermen being elected in 2011. He is a member of the Police, Fire, Budget, and Economic Development Committees and serves as Chairman for the Street/WC Committee and Lexington Water Board.

Alderman Gabe Williams is a lifelong resident of the City of Lexington. He grew up playing baseball at Guy B. Amis Park, attended Paul G. Caywood Elementary School, graduated from Lexington High School in 1996, and is a graduate of The University of Tennessee at Martin, where he obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration.
Alderman Williams was offered an opportunity to start his professional career by FirstBank in 2000, right here in his home town of Lexington, TN. He proudly accepted and 18 years later is still employed with FirstBank today. He worked as a Retail Banking Representative in Lexington, TN from 2000 to 2003, Loan Officer in Lexington, TN from 2003 to 2007, City President in Parsons, TN from 2007 to 2013, and Senior Commercial Banker in Lexington, TN from 2013 to present.
During the past 20 years Alderman Williams has coached and been a part of various youth sports teams and leagues, including Lexington Little League baseball, Lexington Babe Ruth baseball, Lexington Dixie Youth Softball, and various local travel softball teams. In years past, he served on the Carl Perkins Prevention of Child Abuse Center Board and was a member of the Lexington Rotary Club.
Alderman Williams currently serves on the Police/Animal Control committee, Street/WC committee, Parks/Cemetery committee, Recycling committee, Airport/HR committee, and is Chairman of the Parks/Cemetery Committee. He also currently serves on the Henderson County Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors.
Alderman Williams and his wife Lori have been married since 2000. They are the parents of 2 daughters, Lacey and Carly.
